CHAMPIONS! TSC Williamson 2009 Boys Showcase Lifts Tennessee Fall State Cup Championship Trophy

By News

MURFREESBORO, TN โ€“ Tennessee Soccer Clubโ€™s Williamson 2009 Boys Showcase, coached by Jack Theriot, claimed the Tennessee State Soccer Association (TSSA) Fall State Cup Championship on Sunday, defeating Emerald Bayern Munich 2009 Boys 2-1 in the U16 final at Richard Siegel Soccer Complex.

TSC opened the scoring in the 22nd minute with a rocket from 30 yards out to take a 1-0 lead.ย  Emerald tied the score in the 37th minute, but TSC responded just after halftime earning a penalty kick and a 2-1 lead that it would take to the final whistle and celebration.

The victory marks Coach Theriotโ€™s first State Cup title since 2011, when he led the TNFC โ€™93 Girls to the championship.

โ€œCongratulations to all of our teams who participated in the State cup final this past weekend and very special โ€œwell doneโ€ to Coach Jack Theriot and his 2009 boys Showcase team who won their first state cup championship,โ€ said U15-U19 Boys Director Sandy Pollock.

In total, four TSC teams advanced to their respective championship matches.ย  In addition to the 2009 Williamson Boys Showcase championship, the Williamson 2009 Boys NPL team led by Pollock battled to a 1-1 draw through regulation and fell in heartbreaking fashion in a penalty kick shootout. ย The Williamson 2014 Boys Showcase was edged in their final match as well as the 2010 Williamson ECNL RL Boys team.

In total, TSC crowned one champion, three finalists, two semi-finalists, and 4 quarterfinalists.

โ€œOverall, we are proud of our performances on the field this fall,โ€ Director of Soccer Stephen Jordan said.ย  โ€œIt was brilliant to see Coach Jack and the boys achieve their goal and lift the trophy.ย  We are excited as we move into the next phase of the year as the older girls begin their seasons and look forward to continued successes.โ€

Tennessee Soccer Club Names Georgia Kelley as Director of Marketing and Sponsorships

By News

FRANKLIN, TN โ€“ Tennessee Soccer Club (TSC) is proud to announce the appointment of Georgia Kelley as its new Director of Marketing and Sponsorships. Kelley will lead strategic marketing efforts, brand development, and sponsorship partnerships to elevate the clubโ€™s community presence and fuel continued organizational growth.

Kelley joins TSC from North Carolina FC Youth (NCFC Youth) one of the largest youth soccer clubs in the United States where she has served as a senior marketing leader since 2017.

โ€œWe are excited to welcome Georgia to the Tennessee Soccer Club family,โ€ said Stuart Brown, Executive Director of TSC. โ€œGeorgia is a powerhouse in youth sports marketing. Her ability to scale programs, build meaningful partnerships, and deliver measurable ROI for sponsors is unmatched. Her leadership and vision will be critical as we position TSC as the premier destination for youth soccer development in Tennessee.โ€

During her tenure at NCFC Youth, Kelley managed a comprehensive annual marketing portfolio, driving measurable growth and national brand visibility as well as leading the marketing team to amplify the VisitRaleigh.com Showcase Series – one of the largest tournament series nationwide.

Georgia played an integral role in the club-wide rebrand from Capital Area Soccer League to North Carolina FC Youth in 2017, which reshaped the organizationโ€™s national identity, spearheaded cross-promotional campaigns with NC Courage (NWSL) and North Carolina FC (USL Championship) and supported annual fundraising through event planning, sponsor activation, and content strategy.ย  Her leadership contributed to sustained increases in player registrations, social media engagement, and follower growth over the last five years.

A graduate of North Carolina State University with a B.S. in Sport Management, Kelley has completed the U.S. Department of Stateโ€™s ENVEST Program (Empowering New Voices through Education and Sport), Leadership Raleigh, and is an active member of WISE (Women in Sports and Events).

โ€œIโ€™m incredibly excited to join Tennessee Soccer Club,โ€ said Kelley. โ€œThere is an authentic pride, momentum, and commitment to excellence here. I look forward to partnering with our staff, sponsors, families, and the broader community to strengthen TSCโ€™s brand and expand the opportunities we deliver to players across Middle Tennessee.โ€

Ronnie Woodard Named US U-16 Girls’ National Team Head Coach for England Friendlies

By News

ATLANTA (Oct. 22, 2025) โ€“ย The U.S. Under-16 Girlsโ€™ National Team will travel to England from Oct. 22-31 for a training camp and games at St. Georgeโ€™s Park, Englandโ€™s National Training Center, located about 120 miles north of London.

All players in this camp were born in 2010 and represent the core of the team that will compete to qualify for the 2027 FIFA U-17 Womenโ€™s World Cup. The camp is part of the Federationโ€™s continued focus on the U.S. Way philosophy, which emphasizes increased programming for Youth National Teams to create more opportunities for young players to advance through the pathway to the senior National Team with the goal of representing their country at a world championship.
