Record 287 Teams Brings Youth Soccer From Across The Region To Music City Invitational

FRANKLIN, TN – Tennessee Soccer Club’s Music City Invitational (MCI) turned Middle Tennessee into a youth soccer destination this weekend, welcoming a record 287 teams from 56 clubs across eight states. More than 460 games were played on 35+ fields at four venues in Williamson and Rutherford counties, with hundreds of referees keeping every kickoff on schedule.

“Every year the Music City Invitational gets bigger and bigger, and this year the teams, families and volunteers made it something special,” said TSC Tournament Director Jimmy Drain. “Clubs travel to Middle Tennessee for competitive brackets, great facilities and a well-run event, and we are grateful to every coach, referee and parent who made the weekend happen.”

The tournament’s 287 teams top last year’s previous record of 282, making the Music City Invitational one of the region’s premier fall tournaments. The MCI has nearly quadrupled in size from 77 teams since 2019, gaining momentum each year.

The four-venue footprint across Williamson and Rutherford counties gave teams the space and quality fields to support a schedule of more than 460 games.  The main complex used was Richard Siegel Soccer Park, one of the premier soccer facilities in the southeast region.  Bethesda Sports Park, Riverdale High School, and Independence High School rounded out the facility usage.

The TSC Tournament Series continues this winter with the Winter Indoor Series in December, January and February in Franklin and Brentwood, and the Third Annual TSC College Showcase for U15-U19 Boys and Girls in Murfreesboro in January.
