TSC hosts Soccer-A-Thon fundraiser to support club and Special Olympics TN
FRANKLIN, TN - Tennessee Soccer Club hosted its annual Soccer-A-Thon fundraising event on Saturday, Feb, 22 at the Robert Ring Indoor Arena at WCSA Soccer Complex. This was the fifth edition of the fundraising event that sees funds raised by the TSC community support both Tennessee Soccer Club and the Special Olympics TN community. To date, nearly $30,000 has been raised!
"We had a really great time on Saturday playing soccer and celebrating the success of the fundraiser," said TSC Tournament Director & Events Coordinator Jimmy Drain. "Throughout the day TSC players and coaches enjoyed the open-play environment, but the most meaningful part of the day is always when our friends from Special Olympics join us. We're fortunate to be able to partner with them and support their soccer programming through this fundraising event and it is really incredible to bring our communities together on the soccer field."
Last year, TSC and Special Olympics TN used the 2019 Soccer-A-Thon as a springboard to launch the SOTN Soccer Program. TSC will continue to work with Special Olympics and their soccer program on a consistent basis, hosting the state tournament in Nashville in late April.
The fundraising period extends throughout this week and ends on March 1. To donate and learn more, visit the TSC Soccer-A-Thon website.
