Over 285 Teams Compete in the 2019 Battleground Tournament of Champions
Franklin, TN - This past weekend, Tennessee Soccer Club hosted its annual Battleground Tournament of Champions tournament in partnership with Emma.
The tournament was played at the Williamson County Soccer Complex in Franklin and Crockett Park in Brentwood, bringing in an estimated 10,000 people into the area, supporting the local economy. TSC hosted 286 teams from eight different states and 59 clubs were represented playing 458 total games.
"The Battleground Tournament of Champions was another great success for Tennessee Soccer Club, as we were able to host a lot of quality teams," said TSC Tournament and Event Director Jimmy Drain. "We witnessed excellent soccer during the weekend and we look forward to hosting these visiting teams again in the future."
The Battleground also introduced an initiative by TSC called "Silent Saturday" to encourage positivity on the sidelines by our parents and coaches in order to help create a positive culture in youth sports.
In addition to players, families, and coaches, the Battleground of Champions brought in more than 20 vendors and partners to help make the tournament a huge success.
