Former TSC Player Olivia Doak Signs with Finnish Club PK-35 Vantaa

VANTAA, FINLAND - Former Tennessee Soccer Club standout Olivia Doak signed her first professional contract this week and will play her first year of post-collegiate soccer oversees in Finland with PK-35 Vantaa.

"Playing in Europe was always something I hoped to get the opportunity to do," said Doak. "I am excited to live on my own and be pushed out of my comfort zone in every way, while also experiencing a new part of the world. On the field, I think the style of play in terms of possession and technical ability will challenge me and add to my game. I hope to get in scoring form quickly and help the team win the league and get back in the champions league."

TSC Director of Member Services and ECNL coach Ronnie Woodard is not surprised that Doak was presented opportunities to continue her career at the professional level. "Olivia Doak is one of the hardest working players I have ever coached," said Woodard. "Her willingness to learn combined with her ability to self reflect makes her a special player and absolute joy to coach. I firmly believe that she will not only have a successful career in Finland, but will help enhance their club through victories, spirit and character."

Doak, who participated with TSC for her youth career before committing to play four years at Lipscomb University, is the third former TSC player this spring to join the professional ranks. She joins Tanner Dieterich and Shak Adams, who were both drafted by Nashville SC in the 2020 MLS SuperDraft in January.

Stay tuned throughout the spring for updates on Olivia's first year in professional soccer.
