TSC ECNL Director Dean Blain Earns His USSF A License
CHICAGO, Illinois - TSC ECNL Director Dean Blain recently earned his United States Soccer Federation (USSF) A License. Blain, who worked countless hours toward earning his A License, becomes the seventh Tennessee Soccer Club coach to acheive this status.
"I'm thrilled to have earned my A," said Blain. "I really enjoyed the entire process, and it was tough! We were constantly performing analysis of ourselves, our peer candidates and various club models across the country."
The course consists of extensive on the field sessions and classroom lectures and presentations over the course of six months or more. During the process, Blain went on three seperate five-day trips to Casa Grande, AZ along with other candidates from around the country. "I was working alongside some of the top soccer coaches and instructors in the country," said Blain. "Going through a process like this provides you with a wealth of knowledge that you couldn't otherwise receive."
Blain becomes the seventh Tennessee Soccer Club coach to earn his USSF A, joining Executive Director Stuart Brown, Director of Soccer and Coaching Education Graham Whitehouse, U15-U19 Boys Director Sandy Pollock, U12-U14 Boys Director Josh Severns, and Staff Coaches Dave Costa and Kevin O'Brien.
