Franklin, TN – Tennessee Soccer Club promoted soccer veteran and coach Sterling Nabours to oversee the club’s Girls Academy, an advanced development program designed for seven to eleven-year-old girls. Nabours has been a coach of multiple boys and girls teams for the club for the past two years.

Tennessee Soccer Club’s Girls Academy is designed as an alternative to traditional recreational and select (travel) team programs, and follows a training curriculum that is fun while allowing for optimum player development.
Nabours had a long and impressive soccer career throughout the nation leading up to his years with the Tennessee Soccer Club, and has numerous credentials and licenses through the NSCAA and other soccer and sports organizations. He continues to be part of the national staff at the NSCAA, where he assists staff directors and works with candidates to prepare training plans. Nabours graduated in Sports Management at Southwest Baptist University in Missouri, where he helped coach the school’s newly formed soccer team as a student. In the Nashville area, Nabours coached or directed operations for Lipscomb University,Vanderbilt University, Belmont University, Pope John Paul II High School and Franklin Road Academy. He also served for eight years as the Executive Director and Director of Coaching for the Harpeth Youth Soccer Association in Nashville.
Nabours will begin his new role as the Girls Academy on August 15, 2017.
Tennessee Soccer Club is the Premier youth soccer club located in Williamson County, Tennessee and serving the Greater Nashville area with more than 1450 players and 90 teams. The club competes locally in Tennessee Youth Soccer Leagues, US Club Soccer in the National Premier Leagues, USYSA with the Central Premier League, ECNL and at numerous national events. In 2016, the club won Tennessee’s first National Championship and
followed it with another in the summer of 2017.
