ECNL Meeting Recap

April 18, 2017 (Brentwood TN) – Tennessee Soccer Club hosted Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) Meetings for boys and girls the evening of April 9 at Embassy Suites, Cool Springs. Executive Director Stuart Brown and ECNL Director Dean Blain presented information to a crowd of over 300 people about the new Girls and Boys ECNL program that kicks off play in August 2017.

Players and parents from the soccer community attended from as far away as Bowling Green, KY and Mississippi.   • CURRENT Boys and Girl Tennessee Soccer Club members & NON-Registered Tennessee State Soccer Association (TSSA) members born 1999-2005. Both player and parent are encouraged to attend. 

***Players registered for other State Associations are able to attend*** 

  • Current Registered TSSA members are not invited to the Town Hall Meeting as TSC does not want to disrupt anyone's current club season but those interested please plan to attend tryouts during the TSC designated tryout period. Tryouts will be held June 5-11 2017. More information from the meeting and our future tryouts will be posted on TSC website and ECNL page.

TSC is the first and only club in the state of Tennessee to be awarded membership into the ECNL. The purpose of this Town Hall Meeting is to allow TSC staff to give a full understanding of the ECNL Program.

  • ECNL Philosophies 
  • Level of Play, and additional League Participation 
  • TSC Organization and Coaching 
  • Training Environment and Periodization 
  • Match Analysis 
  • Player-monitoring program 
  • Sports Performance and Injury Prevention 
  • Collegiate Recruitment - benefits that come with ECNL Platform 
  • Conference, Matches and travel expectation 
  • Cost and Budget 
  • Player Recruitment – Tennessee SC Philosophies and Discovery Players 
  • Eligible Participants (All TSSA, US Club and USSF members) 

Players and parents will understand the expectations of ECNL and difference between that of our Tennessee State Soccer Association and USYSA supported teams and leagues. A clear understanding of the developmental pathway to participate at the ECNL level and understanding the increased player development components for all. Players, coaches, club directors, and parents will also be afforded the opportunity to ask any questions regarding ECNL program or all TSC programs.

  • For appropriate planning purposes (venue etc.) please register through the link below. 
  • If you are NOT able to attend, please register so we can document interest in the ECNL Program. Your registration to this event does not commit your child to ANY ECNL team or roster, but confirms your interest/attendance.
